Bailey and Emma both did excellent on their report cards! I cannot begin to tell you how proud we are of them. We feel so blessed to have two girls that do not give us a bit of trouble in school. Bailey, in fact, as never really had a hard time learning. Emma had a slow go at reading, but today she is a champ. She got her best reading grade EVER this past 6 weeks...I don't know if she will ever top this one!! Good goings Emma! Now if we can just get her to "enjoy" reading (what I mean is picking up a book and reading it for pleasure)! They have a program at school where they earn points for reading books and taking tests on them. They have upped the rewards at Campbell and Bailey is all over this....if the students get to a certain point level, they get to wear whatever they want to school for one day. Since they wear uniforms, this is a biggie for Bailey. Emma thinks it is so cool that Bailey gets to do this, but it just doesn't motivate her yet to want to read and take tests. Bailey has already earned enough points for 3rd 6 weeks (and has already chosen the outfit)- Emma wants to do it (and can), but has other interests (like playing- urghh!). In due time, in due time...I know.
We have always tried to find the perfect "reward" at home when it comes to report cards. I think we have found it now- FRIENDS spending the night. They are both having a friend spend the night with them on Friday and they CANNOT WAIT! You girls, ROCK! Awesome grades.
